An alternative is to book an exam in a proctored testing facility or complete a workshop of two days.


Candidates must answer 120 multiple-choice questions using a computer within two hours to pass the NFPT exam. The questions are divided into six different categories. Multiple-choice questions cover professional development, training instruction and program design. This exam is intensive and takes a lot of time to study. However, if you want to save money, the NFPT offers online study courses that range from $199 to $349.

NESTA offers a course in test preparation

The NESTA PFT certification bundle contains study materials, an e book, and practice tests. Participants can study from any location, at any time. There are 100 questions, with detailed explanations. They cover all aspects the NESTAPFT exam. Participants have one year to complete the exam after purchasing the bundle. These exams are available online through Pearson VUE/OnVUE. The exam is proctored online and monitored through a webcam. The exam costs about $100. You can choose the Basic or Professional Plan. The Basic Plan offers two online courses, five practical scenarios, and ten practice exam questions. The Professional Plan offers 18 online courses, 12 hands-on scenarios, 200 practice questions, and 200 exam questions. The certification includes CPR training.
